Rosel George Brown (1926-1967) attended Newcomb College and the University of Minnesota, where she received a master's degree in Greek. She published science fiction novels and short stories, worked as a teacher and a welfare visitor in Louisiana. She married William Burlie Brown, a history professor at Tulane University.
